1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ('Terms') constitute a legally binding agreement between you ('User', 'Customer', 'Delivery Partner') and Cirota ('Company', 'we', 'us'). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Platform and all services provided through it.
2. Service Description
Cirota is a meal subscription and tiffin delivery service operating in India. We offer:
- Subscription-based meal plans: Veg Lite, Veg Prime, Non-Veg Lite, and Non-Veg Prime
- Monthly subscriptions (1, 2, or 3 meal slots per day) and 15-day trial plans
- A la carte and special delivery orders
- Meal modifications, plan pauses, and plan changes
- Real-time delivery tracking
- AI Nutrition Advisory through Dr. Sona (powered by Google Gemini AI)
- Doctor-recommended meal plans (subject to availability)
- Add-on items to supplement base subscription meals
3. User Eligibility
- You must be a resident of a location within Cirota's active delivery zone
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate any person or entity
- Cirota reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these eligibility requirements without notice or refund
4. Subscriptions, Plans & Billing
4.1 Plan Selection
You may select from our available plans and meal slots (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner). Plan prices are as published on the Platform and are subject to change at our sole discretion. Continued subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
4.2 Billing & Payment
- All payments are processed through Razorpay Payment Gateway
- Payment is due in advance before subscription commencement
- By providing payment details you authorise Cirota to charge the applicable amount through Razorpay
- Cirota does not store your card number, CVV, or banking credentials — all payment data is handled exclusively by Razorpay
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
4.3 Meal Modification Cutoff Times
Meal changes, skips, and modifications are subject to the following cutoff times:
- Breakfast modifications: before 1:00 AM on the delivery day
- Lunch modifications: before 8:00 AM on the delivery day
- Dinner modifications: before 3:00 PM on the delivery day
Requests received after the cutoff will apply to the next available delivery cycle. We shall not be liable for missed modifications or incorrect meals due to late requests.
4.4 Subscription Pause
Customers may pause their subscription through the Platform subject to advance notice requirements. No credits or refunds are provided for pauses initiated after the applicable cutoff time. Pauses do not extend the subscription end date unless explicitly agreed in writing by Cirota.
5. Delivery
5.1 Delivery Scope & Limitations
Cirota provides delivery services within designated service zones only. We do not guarantee delivery to all locations. Delivery availability, timing, and scheduling are subject to change without notice.
5.2 Delivery Timings & Delays
We endeavour to deliver meals within the scheduled time windows. However, delivery times are estimates only. Cirota shall not be held liable for any delay, loss, or inconvenience arising from:
- Traffic congestion, road closures, or accidents
- Adverse weather conditions including rain, floods, fog, or storms
- Strike, civil unrest, or force majeure events
- Incorrect or inaccessible delivery address provided by the customer
- Customer unavailability at the time of delivery
- Delivery partner illness, vehicle breakdown, or emergency
- Technical failures of tracking or routing systems
5.3 Failed Delivery
If a delivery attempt fails because you are unavailable or your address is inaccessible, the meal will be deemed as delivered and no refund or replacement will be provided for that delivery slot.
5.4 Delivery Partner Conduct
Delivery partners are independent service providers engaged by Cirota and are not employees or agents of the Company. Cirota shall not be liable for any act, omission, misconduct, or negligence of any delivery partner. Any dispute involving a delivery partner must be reported via the support ticket system.
6. Cancellations & Refund Policy
6.1 Cancellation by Customer
- Subscription cancellations must be requested via the Platform or support channel
- No refund will be provided for days already consumed or for the current active delivery cycle at the time of cancellation
- Partial refunds for unused days may be considered at Cirota's sole and absolute discretion
- Trial orders (per-tiffin pricing) are non-refundable once prepared or dispatched
6.2 Cancellation by Cirota
Cirota reserves the right to cancel any subscription or order at any time without cause, with a pro-rata refund of any prepaid amounts for undelivered meals. We shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or consequential damages arising from such cancellation.
6.3 Refund Process
Approved refunds are processed via Razorpay to the original payment method. Refund timelines are determined by Razorpay and your bank (typically 5–10 business days). Cirota bears no liability for delays in refund processing caused by Razorpay, banks, or payment network infrastructure.
6.4 Disputed Charges
All payment disputes must be raised with Cirota support within 7 days of the transaction date. Claims raised after 7 days will not be entertained. Cirota's determination of disputed amounts shall be final and binding.
7. Food Quality, Allergens & Health
7.1 Food Quality Standards
Cirota endeavours to prepare meals using fresh ingredients under hygienic conditions. However, we make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the fitness, taste, nutritional content, or quality of any meal delivered.
7.2 Allergen Disclaimer
Cirota meals are prepared in a shared kitchen environment. Meals MAY contain or come into contact with: nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy, sesame, and other common allergens. CIROTA MAKES NO GUARANTEE THAT ANY MEAL IS FREE FROM SPECIFIC ALLERGENS. Customers with known food allergies or intolerances bear SOLE RESPONSIBILITY for assessing suitability of any meal. Cirota shall bear NO liability for any allergic reaction, food intolerance response, or health consequence resulting from consumption of our meals. Consult your doctor before subscribing if you have dietary health conditions.
7.3 Food Safety After Delivery
Cirota is not responsible for the safety, quality, or condition of meals after delivery. Customers are responsible for proper storage and timely consumption. Meals should be consumed within the time recommended. Cirota shall not be liable for any illness or harm resulting from improper storage or delayed consumption.
7.4 Non-Veg Meals
Non-vegetarian meals (Non-Veg Lite, Non-Veg Prime) include chicken, eggs, and other meat items. Customers are solely responsible for their choice of plan and any religious, dietary, or personal preferences. Cirota makes no representation about the sourcing, slaughter method, or religious certification (halal/kosher) of any ingredient.

Content generated by Dr. Sona is produced by Google Gemini AI and is provided for INFORMATIONAL AND GENERAL WELLNESS PURPOSES ONLY. NOTHING said by Dr. Sona constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or prescription. NEVER delay or disregard professional medical advice based on Dr. Sona's responses. IN A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL 108 IMMEDIATELY — DO NOT USE DR. SONA. CIROTA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY HEALTH OUTCOME, INJURY, ALLERGIC REACTION, MEDICAL COMPLICATION, PSYCHOLOGICAL HARM, OR DEATH ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON DR. SONA'S RESPONSES.
By using Dr. Sona you acknowledge and accept that: (a) responses are AI-generated and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated; (b) Cirota does not review or validate individual responses; (c) the service is provided 'as is' with no warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular health purpose.
9. Delivery Partner Engagement
9.1 Independent Contractor
Delivery partners are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Cirota. Nothing in these Terms creates an employer-employee relationship, joint venture, or agency between Cirota and any delivery partner.
9.2 Document Verification
Delivery partners must submit valid government-issued identification and other documents as required during onboarding. Submission of false, forged, or expired documents will result in immediate termination of engagement and may be reported to law enforcement.
9.3 Cirota's Liability for Delivery Partners
Cirota shall not be liable for any accident, injury, property damage, theft, traffic violation, or any other incident involving a delivery partner while performing deliveries. Delivery partners are solely responsible for their own safety, insurance, vehicle roadworthiness, and compliance with traffic laws.
9.4 GPS Tracking Consent
By registering as a delivery partner, you consent to real-time GPS location tracking during active delivery sessions. This data is visible to customers tracking their orders and to Cirota administrators. You may not disable tracking during an active delivery assignment.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any Indian law
- Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information during registration or ordering
- Attempt to circumvent, hack, or interfere with the Platform's security or authentication
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy any part of the Platform
- Use the Platform to transmit spam, malware, or harmful content
- Abuse the support ticket system or make fraudulent refund claims
- Harass, threaten, or abuse Cirota staff, delivery partners, or other users
- Share your account credentials with third parties
- Use automated bots or scripts to access the Platform
Violation of any prohibition above may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of any prepaid subscription balance, and legal action.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform including but not limited to the Cirota name and logo, menu designs, UI elements, meal plan structures, AI persona 'Dr. Sona', software, text, images, and database compilations are the exclusive property of Cirota or its licensors and are protected under applicable Indian intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform solely for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. Any other use is strictly prohibited.
12. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties
12.1 'As Is' Service
THE PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
12.2 No Liability for Indirect Damages
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CIROTA, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
- Delayed, missed, or failed deliveries
- Food quality, taste, allergen content, or health outcomes
- Errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in AI-generated content (Dr. Sona)
- Data breaches, unauthorised access, or loss of data
- Platform downtime, technical errors, or service interruptions
- Acts or omissions of third-party providers including Google, Razorpay, Facebook, Apple
- Loss of income, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or profits
- Force majeure events including natural disasters, pandemics, or government actions
- Actions or omissions of delivery partners
12.3 Maximum Aggregate Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL CIROTA'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU TO CIROTA IN THE 30-DAY PERIOD IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
12.4 Essential Basis
You acknowledge that the limitations of liability in this Section 12 reflect a reasonable allocation of risk and are an essential basis of the bargain between you and Cirota. Cirota would not be able to provide services at the stated prices without these limitations.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cirota and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your use or misuse of the Platform
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including privacy or intellectual property rights
- Any false or misleading information you provide to Cirota
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
14. Force Majeure
Cirota shall not be in breach of these Terms or liable for any delay or failure to perform any obligation if such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, earthquakes, floods, fire, pandemic, epidemic, civil unrest, strikes, government orders, internet or power failures, or any other event of force majeure. In such events, our obligations will be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event and will not be extended.
15. Account Suspension & Termination
15.1 Termination by Cirota
Cirota may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including but not limited to cases of:
- Breach of these Terms
- Fraudulent or abusive activity
- Non-payment or failed payment
- Provision of false information
- Harm or risk of harm to other users, delivery partners, or Cirota
15.2 Effect of Termination
Upon termination: (a) your access to the Platform will be revoked immediately; (b) any active subscription will be cancelled; (c) you may be eligible for a pro-rata refund of unused prepaid amounts at Cirota's sole discretion, but no refund is guaranteed; (d) all provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, indemnification, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
16. Privacy
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. By using the Platform you agree to the collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.
17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
17.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act 2000 (as amended), the Consumer Protection Act 2019, the Indian Contract Act 1872, and applicable food safety regulations under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
17.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the Platform, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute amicably by contacting Cirota's support team. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, it shall be subject to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 of India. The seat of arbitration shall be in India. The language of arbitration shall be English.
17.3 Jurisdiction
Subject to the arbitration provision above, both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India for any matter not subject to arbitration.
17.4 Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 of India or other applicable consumer protection legislation to the extent that such rights cannot be contractually excluded.
18. Third-Party Services
The Platform relies on and integrates with various third-party services. Cirota makes no representations or warranties regarding the availability, reliability, or accuracy of any third-party service. We shall not be liable for any failure, downtime, error, or data loss caused by any third-party service including:
- Google Firebase, Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage — data storage and authentication
- Google Gemini AI — AI responses generated by Dr. Sona
- Razorpay — payment processing, gateway failures, refund delays
- Google Maps / Leaflet / OpenStreetMap — mapping and tracking accuracy
- Google, — social login availability and data accuracy
- Email delivery infrastructure — OTP and notification delivery
19. Amendments to Terms
Cirota reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting updated Terms on the Platform and updating the 'Last Updated' date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any revision, you must stop using the Platform and cancel your subscription.
20. General Provisions
20.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cirota regarding the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or communications.
20.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
20.3 No Waiver
Cirota's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
20.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent from Cirota. Cirota may freely assign these Terms without restriction.
20.5 Language
These Terms are drafted in English. In case of any conflict between English and any translated version, the English version shall prevail.
